What customers are saying...

I was delighted to have finally received my Powershot S90, and without further adieu, let me say that this is one heck of a camera. It's not perfect -- you can take truly terrible pictures with it just like you can take terrible pictures with a D700 -- but when used properly, the camera turns out remarkable shots that make us find it hard to accept the images are coming from a camera that fits in your pants pocket . Canon S90 IS is one of Canon high-end / advanced Canon Powershot compact camera. Its unique characteristics are slim, low profile body with great noise control in high ISO plus 28-105mm f/2-f/4.9 bright zoom lens. The other advantage is the camera is very pocket able. It fits in your jeans' pocket. . (Continue)

The Canon S90 is - by far - my new "go to" pocket camera and the one I will always carry with me in my flight bag. I have been using it for just about a month now and after a couple thousand shots, only now am I getting comfortable with its functionality. This is NOT the camera to buy your mother-in-law for Christmas. She will never speak to you again. . (Continue)

I decided to purchase a new pocket camera to take on a trip to Disney World. I needed low light capabilities for indoor and nighttime pictures without a flash and a wide angle lens. I purchased two cameras and compared them for several days prior to the trip. The two cameras were the Sony WX1/B and the Canon S90. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. . (Continue)

The Canon S90 is so handy that my WIFE loves it--With image quality so good that a SERIOUS photographer loves it too. The Canon S90 "just works." It's so small, light, and easy to use, that I always have it with me and always get great image quality. . (Continue)

Take professional shots with easy-to-use Canon PowerShot S90

Usually, aspiring or amateur photographers are under the impression that they would need one of the bulkier camera types to produce images of higher quality than the usual images provided by compact digital cameras.

Canon PowerShot S90 10MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3-inch LCD

But now with Canon PowerShot S90 they can have a camera that produces images that look phenomenal, has fast lens, and has almost the same functions as a DSLR camera but in a lower price range and a more portable size.

Photography and camera enthusiasts alike have been raving about the Canon PowerShot S90. They find it well suitable in almost every aspect (features, ease of use, picture quality, portability, battery life, low light pictures, construction quality, and handling).

3.8x optical zoom in action

What do users say about their own Canon PowerShot S90? It is a point and shoot that comes in the size of most compact digital cameras but with controls and image quality close to that of professional cameras. It can save in JPEG or RAW format, allowing the user to have more options in manipulating the output.

It can even be hooked up to any PCs, even a Mac! The images usually have minimal noise and distortion in it. At the same time, it has a wide angle lens so it can take superb macro images. However, the boasting point of the Canon PowerShot S90 could be the fact that it can take really great pictures indoors with minimal light and without flash. This has proved to be really handy for most of the users who want to have a portable camera for every occasion.

Only a few have had any grievances to share about the Canon PowerShot S90, and most of them still voted to say they would still rather keep it for its benefits.

The only things that the Canon PowerShot S90 lack (according to some users) would be better options for video recording, an optical viewfinder, a more powerful zoom lens, and probably a better build for its top or bottom.

Overall, the Canon PowerShot S90 is the best option for people who want the best quality of images in a pocketable size.
